cheekyarn®
is a recycled yarn brand created for contemporary textile practice.
built for tufting but open to much more, cheekyarn® supports knitting, crochet, weaving, punch needle, soft sculpture, installation work, fashion textiles, and experimental fibre-based making.
we started cheekyarn® through years of running a tufting studio and working closely with textile artists, students, and makers in london. over time, we kept hearing the same thing — finding materials that felt accessible, versatile, and inspiring wasn’t always easy.
that became the starting point for cheekyarn.
our signature yarn, loop 8, is made from 100% recycled polyester and developed to work across different creative practices while staying durable, soft, and easy to use.
with 115 colours and a super bulky structure, cheekyarn® is designed to support bold ideas, playful experimentation, and large-scale making.
we believe textile practice should feel more open, approachable, and connected.
whether you’re making your first rug, building a fashion collection, experimenting with fibre art, or creating large installations, cheekyarn® is here for the process.
what we care about

founded in hackney wick
cheekyarn® was founded in hackney wick, london, by the team behind cheeky studio — a tufting and creative textile studio rooted in community, making, and experimentation.
through workshops, exhibitions, collaborations, and community projects, we continue exploring how textiles can bring people together through making.
thank you for being part of it ✨
