our first textile kit, made in collaboration with knitwear designer snazzy.mj, from northern ireland, currently studying at london college of fashion. her piece depicting the enniskillen knight inspired this collection: a chunky beanie with a little piece of history from her home. this set lets you knit it both ways, one beanie with a row of horses and one in bold stripes.

what’s in the kit

• 4 × 100g balls of loop 8 recycled yarn, 2 of each colour you choose
• addi premium classic circular needle, 7mm, 60cm
• knitting patterns and instructions for both beanies, sent to your inbox as a download link after you order

you knit with two strands held together. makes two beanies, one horse and one stripes. that’s £21 less than buying the two single kits. yarn use can vary with size and tension.

skill level

• stripes: beginner to advanced beginner
• horse: intermediate

you’ll also need (not included): a stitch marker and a darning needle.

choosing colours: colour a is your main colour (ribbing, crown and background) for both beanies. colour b is your horse and stripe colour.

about the yarn: loop 8 is a super bulky (category 6), 100% recycled polyester yarn spun from plastic bottles.
